Man Caught In Act Of Dumping Dogs
A Leoma resident was able to provide police officers with a description and license plate number after witnessing a dog dumping incident Friday.
A resident of Roberts Road reported the matter shortly after 8:30 p.m. He indicated that his neighbor had witnessed the incident and followed the suspect vehicle.
The witness reported he had noticed a Dodge truck drive past the property. In the back, he said, was a cage with dogs inside.
The witness said that he heard a noise and shouted to the man not to dump the dogs. He said that he got into his vehicle and followed the truck. When he caught up, he said the dogs were no longer in the cage.
He was able to provide deputies with a license plate number to aid in further investigation.
